Ancient Splendors of Angkor
Wander the mystical ruins of Angkor Wat and explore jungle-draped temples of the ancient Khmer capital on a journey of discovery through captivating Cambodia.
Trip Overview
- Immerse yourself in the extensive ruins of mystical Angkor, jungle capital of the Khmer empire.
- Discover the French colonial heritage of Phnom Penh, with its impressive monuments and royal palace overlooking the Mekong River.
- Visit floating fishing villages on Tonle Sap, the largest lake in Southeast Asia.
The vines of a strangler fig drape like ropes over the stone blocks of the temple wall. Birds call in the forest greenery enveloping the ruins. The dense, humid air hangs like a veil over a place lost in time. We are standing among the remnants of the ancient city of Angkor, once the heart of the Khmer empire. Today, worlds away, the capital is found in Phnom Penh, equally intriguing in its own right. Downriver, another scene unfolds as traditional fishermen set out from floating villages to bring in the day’s bounty, teeming within the giant flooded lake of Tonle Sap. Join us for an archaeological adventure that highlights Cambodia's most captivating historic and cultural sites, spanning centuries of legend and conquest.
