EPIC Himalayas Adventure
An odyssey through history and culture across the highest mountain range on earth
Trip Overview
- Our carefully crafted itinerary blends must-see marvels — like ancient Kathmandu — with less-visited highlights like remote monasteries and local markets, for an authentic regional immersion
- Survey the entire Himalayan massif from our mountain retreat at Nagarkot and see Mount Everest from the air on a scenic close-up flight (weather permitting)
- Enjoy cultural adventures like Bhutan's colorful Thimphu Tsechu festival, a cooking class in Nepal, and tour a traditional tea estate in Darjeeling
Among all the epic destinations on the planet, the Himalayas hold a peerless place. Whether Silk Route traders or modern-day mountaineers, travelers have been drawn to these heights for millennia. It's no wonder. From peaks that soar more than five miles above sea level to wild river valleys and hillside tea plantations, the geography of the Himalayas is as diverse as it is arresting. The same holds true for the Himalayan people. On our grand adventure through India, Nepal and Bhutan we'll meet Buddhist monks, Hindu sages, Newari farmers and European expatriates. At every turn we regard a new vista: The sun rising over the spine of the world's highest mountain range. The golden spire of a temple piercing the sky as pilgrims circumambulate its base. The flutter of prayer flags in the wind. The faces, fresh and etched, of generations who call this lofty realm home. Come discover the many-layered cultures and landscapes that comprise what may well be the most mesmerizing place on earth.
Location of Adventure

Group Size Limit: Approximately 14 Travelers A very important feature of our Himalayan expedition is the limited group size, as an in-depth cultural tour is best experienced with a small group of travelers.

There are optional walks that may be 1 to 3 hours in length, some of which occur at altitudes over 11,000 feet. We stress that all activities are optional, and alternative activities may be available in some areas.
Important Note Should traveler numbers be below a certain number, some activities and services, including the size of vehicles and the guiding service, may be altered to be more consistent with a smaller group.
