India holds a peerless place on any world traveler's agenda. With a history that stretches back millennia, India is a sensory meld of cultures, colors, sounds and aromas. Its temples and palaces are legendary, and its cities among the most fascinating on the planet. In India, ancient traditions weave within the pulse of contemporary life to create a layered montage of human experience unlike any place else on earth. It takes a remarkable travel adventure to do justice to a country as remarkable as India. That is why Asia360° Travel Co. has created the ultimate encounter with this mystical land: EPIC India. A 22-day odyssey from the deserts of Rajasthan to the deltas of Kerala, from the sacred ghats of Varanasi to the Victorian vestiges of Kolkata, EPIC India is a total immersion in the cultural riches of a most extraordinary destination. No detail is overlooked in our quest to offer a supremely authentic experience, while every luxury is included to ensure your comfort and delight.
Location of Adventure India
Group Size Limit: Approximately 14 Travelers A very important feature of our Indian expedition is the limited group size, as an in-depth cultural tour is best experienced with a smaller sized group of travelers.
Accommodations The hotels we have selected for our EPIC India adventure tend to be among the most luxurious in the country, conveniently and comfortably placing our guests in wonderful areas for exploration. All have private facilities.
Included Internal flights, accommodations, meals from breakfast on Day 2 to lunch on final day, bottled water and soft drinks at meals and bottled water during activities, services of an Asia360° Travel Co. Expedition Leader and local guides, most gratuities, airport transfers on or before Day 1 and final day only, camera fees during activities (but not extra fee for video cameras), permits and entrance fees, and all taxes.
Not Included Travel to and from start and end point of trip, alcoholic beverages, some gratuities, passport and visa fees, optional activities, late departure airport transfers, fees for video cameras where applicable, items of a personal nature (phone calls, internet, souvenirs, etc.), airline baggage fees, airport and departure taxes, required medical evacuation insurance, and optional travel insurance.
Physical Requirements Easy / Flexible This trip does not require a high degree of physical fitness, although a fair number of short walks with no significant elevation gain may be involved. We stress that all activities are optional. Due to India's vast size, our journey will involve several internal flights and some long drives (5-hour range) over bumpy surfaces. Practical Information Most temples require that you take your shoes off, so sandals that you can easily slip in and out of are helpful. Mosque and temples visits require that you be modestly dressed, with shoulders and knees covered (it is recommended that women have a headscarf handy).
Important Note Should traveler numbers be below a certain number, some activities and services, including the size of vehicles and the guiding service, may be altered to be more consistent with a smaller group.
Getting There & Getting Home You may arrive in Delhi at anytime on Day 1 of the itinerary. You are free to depart Delhi anytime after 12:30am on the early morning after the final day. We can best serve you if Asia360° Travel Co.'s Travel Desk makes your flight reservations, as we are intimately familiar with the special requirements of this program and can arrange the most efficient travel. Please call us at 1-877-274-2360.
