This classic lodge trek to the Solo Khumbu is an immersion in the traditional Sherpa homeland. Here in the heart of the Himalayas, a vibrant Buddhist culture thrives in the valleys below the ice-bound ramparts of Mount Everest. Explorers have long recognized that the best way to experience Nepal’s arresting collage of natural beauty and cultural riches is to do so on foot. This trek follows the traditional route of the alpinists entranced by The Mother of All Mountains, from the small airstrip at Lukla into the Khumbu Valley.
