Travelers' Health

Traveling to remote parts of Asia requires advance planning. Consult with your personal physician about your physical ability to complete the trip you are enrolled in and the recommended immunizations you will need. You also may want to consult the travel section of the National Center for Infectious Disease  website. Here you’ll find region-specific information on outbreaks, disease, vaccinations, safe food and water, information on traveling with children, special needs travelers, cruise ships and air travel, and a reference materials library. Visa Information

Before the wonder begins, things must be in order. Will you need a visa? Do you arrange for it now or will you get it at your destination? We’ve done the homework for you. Some countries allow you to obtain the visa upon arrival at the airport or border; others require that you get it in advance. You will only need to acquire visas for the countries that you will actually be entering. Luggage Restrictions

When flying internationally, most airlines allow you to check in 2 bags weighing between 50 and 70 pounds. Please call your international carrier for specifics. Within Asia free checked in baggage allowance differs from country to country. Please keep in mind that baggage exceeding specified limits is subject to excess fees.
